December 9th:

--  The German RC2 dvd of The Princess And the Warrior was released on December 7th.

--  New on my homepage: the Lola's references page with a collection of tv series and commercials that were inspired by Lola.

December 2nd:

--  On January 28th, the UK RC2 dvd of The Princess And the Warrior will be released in the UK. And just a day later, the RC1 dvd and will be released in the US and Canada. January 29th is also the date of the NTSC vhs video release, but since it was priced for the rental market, it will cost ca. $98...

November 19th:

--  According to DVD-Inside.de, the German RC2 DVD of The Princess And the Warrior will be released on December 7th, jpc.de says it's the 6th. Well, at least we know the week of the release now, I guess. :-)

--  And according to X-Verleih, the German release date of Heaven has been postponed to February 28th 2002, but at least it's official now.

November 5th:

--  According to a press release, Heaven will not only be shown as a world premiere at next year's Berlin International Film Festival, it will also open the festival.
Allegedly, the official release date for Heaven is not determined yet and will be announced in November.

--  French actress Natalie Portman was seen at a Halloween party a few days ago dressed up as Lola. :-)

October 21st:

--  According to dailynews.yahoo.com, Tom's latest film Heaven will be shown at next year's Berlin Film Festival.

--  I thought it was about time to tidy up around here. :-) So here it is, the new version of my homepage with a clearer source code, cdd and a rather minimalistic design, as it were. I also reorganized lots of the different subpages and put them into other or new categories to make things (hopefully) easier. I think it's working pretty good, but if you should find a bug feel free to report it. :-) Also, I finally found the time to test all the links again.
  It is more of a redesign than actually adding lots of new stuff, but it became necessary because a) I didn't want to write invalid code anymore (the only exceptions being the cgi pages like guestbook and message board, I'll work on that later), b) I wanted to get rid of frames and c) the former categories of my site weren't too effective anymore because of the amount of information that has been packed into these pages over the last three years: it became rather confusing to look for a specific information.
  Which is why some categories have been added to others or even new categories became necessary, so I hope you'll nevertheless find your way around here. :-)

October 7th

--  Hgrmph, so that's why I haven't found the dvd anywhere yet: According to DVDInside the release date of the German rc2 dvd of The Princess And the Warrior has been postponed to November/December (some problems with the picture quality of the initial dvd edition).

16 September

--    According to German tv guide "TV Spielfilm" German tv channel arte will show the German tv premiere of Run Lola Run.

--    The 14th September marked the 3-year anniversary of this homepage! :-)

24 August

The rc1 dvd will contain an audio commentary track with Tom, Franka and Benno that will not be included in the German edition.

--    And there is also a first release date for Tom's upcoming film, Heaven, in Germany: 14 February 2002.

14 August

--   The first version of the Princess FAQ is now online.

--    As Jörg already mentioned in the forum, the RC2 dvd of The Princess And the Warrior will be released in October. According to areadvd.de, the exact date will be 4 October.

--    With the 12th season of the Simpsons on the way in Germany, we will finally be able to watch their parody of Run Lola Run in episode CABF14, "Trilogy of Error", some time this fall here in Germany.

--    Deadly Maria will be shown on 3Sat on 4 September, 10.25 pm, 3Sat.

10 July

Once again, Life Is All You Get will be shown on German tv channel ARD on Sunday, 15 July, at 11.30 pm.

The RC2 dvd of The Princess And the Warrior still doesn't seem to be available, not even a release date has been announced yet.

22 June

At the German Film Awards tonight, Tom's Princess hasn't been as successful as Lola two years ago: it only won one award in the Best Film category, sharing the Silver Film Award with teenage drama/comedy Crazy. Die innere Sicherheit was voted Best Picture (Golden Film Award).
So it's 0.5 out of four nominations, as it were. :-)

Today, The Princess And the Warrior is released in the US (LA and New York, probably).

Anne has started what seems to be the first Joachim Król Fanpage with lots of infos about the man who is so much more than just the bum from Run Lola Run.

19 June

German tv channel N24 will show the German Film Awards live (Friday, 22 June 7.15 pm). You can watch the highlights on Pro Sieben on Sunday at 10.05 pm. And don't forget to keep your fingers crossed. ;-)

At rottentomatoes.com you can download the international trailer of The Princess And the Warrior in three different sizes.

There is also the official Englsih homepage of The Princess And the Warrior, though you'll need a Flash plugin to see anything there.

arte will show Life Is All You Get on 4 June at 8.45 pm (rerun on 9 June, 1.10 am).

23 April

The first version of the Winter Sleepers section is now online, including a soundtrack page.

There is a little page about Tom's upcoming film Heaven at miramax.com.

And on related but belated news *g*: The Princess And the Warrior has been nominated for the German Film Awards 2001 in 4 categories:
- best picture
- best actress in a leading role (Franka Potente)
- best actor in a supporting role (Lars Rudolph) and
- best director (Tom Tykwer)

According to Upcomingmovies.com, the release date for The Princess And the Warrior has been moved back two months to 22 June 2001.

On 2 April, 8.45 pm, German tv channel arte will show Winter Sleepers (rerun on 3 April, 0.35 am).

And on 6 April, arte will show Deadly Maria (8.45 pm).

Hello again! Yes, believe it or not, I found the time for another little update. :-)

New in the text section: a long and very interesting interview with Reinhold Heil  of Pale 3 with lots of information on the soundtrack of The Princess And the Warrior.

The Princess And the Warrior will be released in the US on 27 April 2001.

Franka Potente's debut film, It's A Jungle Out There, is shown on German tv channel N3 on Saturday, 3 March at 10 pm.

The soundtrack page in the Princess section has been updated as well.
